From May 19–20, 2026, ANTESCO participated in PLMA’s World of Private Label 2026 at the RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre, Amsterdam, the Netherlands, as a trade visitor, continuing its journey of international engagement and staying up to date on emerging trends shaping the global private label industry.
Held annually since 1986, PLMA’s World of Private Label is recognized as one of the most influential and specialized trade events dedicated to the global private label sector. This year, the exhibition brought together more than 3,300 exhibiting companies from approximately 80 countries, over 32,000 private label professionals, and representatives from more than 120 countries and territories.

During the event, ANTESCO focused on engaging with existing partners, expanding connections within the private label ecosystem, and exchanging insights with international buyers and partners to stay informed on emerging market developments, evolving consumer demands, and key trends increasingly shaping strategies across the global retail industry.
One of the key observations at this year’s PLMA was the increasingly prominent role of private label within the modern retail ecosystem. According to Q4/2025 data compiled by NielsenIQ for PLMA’s International Private Label Market Report, private label currently accounts for 38.8% of sales across 17 surveyed European markets, representing a market value exceeding EUR 387 billion.

Notably, private label continues to outperform the broader market in terms of growth. Across the 17 monitored European markets, private label sales increased by 4.1% in 2025, exceeding the overall grocery retail market growth rate of 3.2% and outperforming manufacturer brands, which recorded growth of 2.7%.
Beyond economic value alone, discussions and observations at the event also indicated that the definition of “value” is expanding. While private label was traditionally associated with cost optimization, retailers today are increasingly investing in product innovation, quality enhancement, sustainability initiatives, and the ability to build long-term consumer trust.
Many European markets are also experiencing strong growth in product categories aligned with healthier lifestyles and more responsible consumption patterns, with widespread presence of organic, plant-based, sustainable, healthy, and clean-label products. At the same time, factors such as ingredient transparency and natural sourcing continue to become increasingly important considerations in product development strategies.
For the processed fruit and vegetable industry, these trends continue to create significant opportunities for food solutions that not only address convenience needs but also maintain product quality and preserve natural characteristics. According to PLMA market reports, fresh and perishable food categories continue to maintain positive growth momentum, reflecting increasingly evident consumer demand for high-quality food options aligned with modern lifestyles.
Beyond exploring new business opportunities, many discussions at PLMA 2026 also focused on supply chain resilience, long-term production capabilities, and sustainable collaboration approaches among stakeholders across the global value chain. This reflects a broader shift from purely transactional relationships toward partnerships built on stability, transparency, and long-term development.
Concluding its journey in Amsterdam, ANTESCO returns with valuable market insights while further strengthening international connections to gradually expand its presence within the global food supply chain.
