In recent years, green soybeans have gradually become preferred crop for many farmers in An Giang Province, especially during the winter-spring season. Known for their favorable traits-such as ease of cultivation and management – green soybeans also offers farmers more secure market access through contractual linkages, giving them the confidence to participate in the linked production model.

In areas where rice cultivation was inefficient and crops lacked contractual linkages, green soybeans have proven their worth by providing sustainable economic benefits for local farmers.

As a result, by early August of the lunar calendar, it has become something of a trend for farmers to prepare their land and register planting areas with representatives from Antesco. Knowing that the crop has a short growth cycle and allows for quick crop rotation, many farmers try to sow early to receive best support under the company’s policies. Thanks to the economic value they bring, green soybeans have gained the trust of many farmers not only in An Giang Province but also across the Mekong Delta region.
