With rice prices showing signs of decline and harvest yields not being high in some areas, the model of soybean cultivation is proving to be a sustainable direction for many farmers, especially in the An Giang and Dong Thap regions, thanks to the stable output guarantees.
With An Giang Food and Vegetables Joint Stock Company’s annual plan to expand vegetable soybean cultivation areas, the company Antesco will implement a 900-hectare linkage area for the 2024-2025 winter-spring crop. This is a favorable condition for many farmers to switch from low-efficiency crops to participate in linkages with the company.
In the winter-spring crop, vegetable soybeans yield a relatively high average of 12-15 tons per hectare, bringing farmers profits of 50-100 million VND per hectare. This lays the foundation for farmers to build long-term relationships with the company in the path of integration and development, paving the way for a successful new season for farmers.
