The ‘Golden Hands in Mango Production’ Contest

On December 10^th, the Company’s Trade Union and Youth Union of An Giang Fruit-Vegetables and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (Antesco) held the 2024 “Golden Hands in Mango Production” Contest for workers employed at its affiliated factories.

At the contest, 145 employees from 3 factories: My An (Cho Moi District), Binh Khanh (Long Xuyen City) and Binh Long (Chau Phu District), participated in three competitions segments: self-introduction, theory and practical skills.

The multiple-choice theory section tested basic knowledge of production processes, food safety and hygiene, quality standards in processing of agricultural products and quality management principles.

In the practical segment, teams demonstrated real-world tasks such as mango peeling and cheek-slicing, aiming for fast completion, quality accuracy, and high efficiency. Participants were also evaluated on product inspection and sorting tasks typically performed in the factory.

As a result, Binh Khanh Factory achieved first place; My An and Binh Long Factories shared second place. In addition, the organizing committee awarded a special prize worth VND 15 million to Binh Khanh Factory for creatively developing an effective “2 in 1” mango peeling and slicing tool.

This event served as a production competition aimed at improving skills, promoting teamwork, and enhancing production processes. It helps workers sharpen their skills, improves their expertise, boost labor productivity through hands-on experience on the production line, and encouraged the exchange of ideas and innovative practices in manufacturing.
