On the afternoon of October 9, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, along with leaders from various departments and agencies, held a working session with representatives from An Giang Fruit-Vegetables and Foodstuff Joint Stock Company (Antesco). The delegation was led by Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Bao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ylang Holdings Joint Stock Company, Member of the Board of Directors at Antesco, visited the province to explore investment opportunity.
Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, expressed his pleasure at Antesco’s interest in investing in the province.
Antesco currently operates four factories located in An Giang and Lam Dong provinces, with an annual production capacity of 75,000 tons. The company specializes in processing corn, edamame (green soybeans), mango, dragon fruit, pineapple, etc. and various canned products. In 2024, the company’s processing output and revenue increased by 72% compared to 2023
Mr. Nguyen Hoang Minh, General Director of Antesco, expressed the company’s wish to promptly implement a high-tech export-oriented fruit and vegetable processing factory project in Hau Giang.
From 2025 to 2030, Antesco plans to increase its annual output and revenue by an average of 25%. By 2030, the company aims to reach a total output of 140,000 tons of finished products and revenue of VND 7,000 billion. In order to achieve this target, Antesco intends to invest in a new high-tech fruits and vegetables processing factory with an annual capacity of 50,000 tons, accompanied by a modern storage system. In addition, the company will establish cultivation areas for fruits and vegetables in Hau Giang and nearby regions.
At the working session, Hau Giang authorities introduced the province’s agricultural strengths, along with strategic development plans and investment policies. Hau Giang is primarily an agricultural province, with approximately 70% of its population engaged in farming, and 85% of its land dedicated to agricultural cultivation. Particularly, the province is among the leading performers in agricultural growth in Mekong Delta, supported by an abundant supply of raw materials in crop production, aquaculture and fisheries-conditions that align well with Antesco’s investment needs.
During the meeting, Mr. Dong Van Thanh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee, expressed his pleasure at the company’s interest in investing in Hau Giang. According to him, this investment would play a significant role in the province’s socio-economic development in the upcoming years. He emphasized that Hau Giang offers highly favorable conditions for business and is committed to providing all necessary supports. He assured that the province would work closely with the company to ensure the timely implementation of their project.
