Antesco Continues Partnership With An Giang Farmers To Produce And Consume 300 Hectares Of Mangoes

On the morning of May 22, in An Phu district, An Giang Food and Vegetables Joint Stock Company (Antesco) held a conference to summarize the main mango season and plan for the off-season crop in 2024.

During the main winter-spring 2023-2024 crop, Antesco partnered with Phu Thinh An Khanh Agricultural Service Cooperative (An Phu district) and farmers from various districts to produce and consume keo mangoes, cat chu mangoes, Hoa Loc mangoes, green-skinned mangoes, and seedless mangoes on an area of 1,160 hectares, achieving a yield of 29,000 tons. This includes 5,000 tons from An Phu district and 24,000 tons from other areas, exceeding the planned yield by 4,000 tons. Additionally, a 180-hectare GlobalGAP-standard keo mango production area was established in Khanh An and Phu Huu communes (An Phu district).

Antesco collaborated with Phu Thinh An Khanh Agricultural Service Cooperative to create a keo mango raw material area for processing. This collaboration promotes the production and consumption of mango products in a value chain, particularly for export to competitive markets through consumption contracts.

From now until the end of 2024, Antesco will continue to partner with farmers to produce and consume 300 hectares of mangoes in An Phu district, Tan Chau town, and other areas, with an estimated yield of 7,500 tons.

On this occasion, An Giang Food and Vegetables Joint Stock Company (Antesco) awarded 200 scholarship gifts to elementary and middle school students in difficult circumstances who excel academically in An Phu district, with a total value of 100 million VND, to support their educational expenses.
