My An Commune is one of the localities with over 20 years of successful experience in applying the 2B (Corn-Cattle) and 3B (Corn-Cattle-Biogas) agricultural models. The transition from low-efficiency rice cultivation to baby corn farming has brought economic benefic to local farmer, especially when integrated with cattle raising, which adds significant value and increase household income. However, years of continuous cultivation using chemical fertilizers have resulted in soil degradation and reduced profitability.
To reduce production costs, increase farmer incomes, and establish internationally standardized, export-ready specialized cultivation areas, Antesco will implement a baby corn production model integrated with cattle raising in My An Commune. This model will apply 30 – 40% organic fertilizer during cultivation. Antesco will supply corn seeds and organic fertilizers, collect payments upon harvest, and sign a contract to purchase the entire output. Under this model, the purchasing price for raw materials will be VND 1,000 per kilogram higher than the current market rate, resulting in an average profit increase of VND 2.5 million per crop per hectare.
At the ceremony, Antesco and My An Commune officially signed the agreement to implement the baby corn production model using organic fertilizer in combination with cattle raising. The project will be carried out from March to December 2025. The goal is that, after 12 months of implementation, 50 – 70% of the total 750 hectares of baby corn farmland in My An Commune will be registered under the model.
